Severn AC December 10 miles Time Trial
What. An individual ‘open’ 10 miles Time Trial event
When. 6 December 2020 (Lockdown/COVID restrictions permitting). Start line will open at 0900hrs and close at 0915hrs.
Where. The Pilot Inn through Elmore, out to Longney and back.
Who. All Severn AC members and Gloucestershire runners.
How. Runners will be allowed to line up at the start line in pairs or in line with the latest government guidance. There will be a minimum of 15 seconds between groups setting off. Runners are to keep to the left hand side of the road on the way out and back. There is to be no congregating at the start or finish. Start times will allocated once final numbers are confirmed.
Entry. Entries will close on 4 December at 2000hrs. Start times will be issued by 0900hrs on 5 December. Runners can enter by email (severnathleticclub@gmail.com), posted on the club Facebook page or Club WhatsApp chat group.
Scoring. General standings based on time (fastest first), sub groups for SM/SW/V40/V45/V50 increasing in 5yrs increments.
Results. Results can be submitted via email to severnathleticclub@gmail.com, posted on the club Facebook page or WhatsApp chat group. Garmin, Suunto and Strava links accepted as proof of time. In extremis screenshots / photos of your watch.
The course. An out and back starting just after the Hardwicke canal bridge. Out for 5 miles through Elmore and on to Longney turning round approx. 50m after Logney Primary School at the 5 miles marker, finish directly opposite the start. Start/Finish and turning point are clearly marked.

Rules:
No more than 2 runners (may change if COVID restrictions allow) on the start line at any given time.
Maintain social distancing at all times.
Do not wear headphones.
Runners must keep to the left-hand side of the road where possible and be aware of other road users.
If you feel ill do not run.
Where there is a significant difference between elapsed and recorded time, elapsed time will be used so remember to save your run.
Run to the markers and not your watch i.e. Start at the start line, finish at the finish line, turn round at the 5 miles marker.
