Severn Athletic Club’s 16 year old rising distance runner Alex Rawlings showed significant progress in the third round of the UK cross-country series at Liverpool. “I made a good start but then slipped a bit in the second half of the race”. Alex finished in 42nd place out of the 145 athletes clocking 19:37 for the 5K (under 17) course and was 71 seconds behind the winner. His performance in the series opening was finishing in 32nd place, 2 minutes and 30 seconds behind the winner.
At the SIlverstone Half Marathon Will RIchmond continued his progress this year with a new personal best for the distance by finishing in 33rd place with a time of 1:22:48, this was a 2 minute and 30 seconds improvement on his previous best for this distance.
At the Gloucester 10k Dave Clarke (v40) finished in 119th place with a time of 39:32 and was followed by Dave Lander (v50) finishing in 140th place with a time of 41:45.
