Severn AC Runners Weekly 10th September

Severn Athletic Club’s Chris Brown led home city runners in third place in the Staverton Meteor Mile. He broke 5 minutes for the first time recording 4:54.
Other Severn placings were: 40th Andy Brown(V55) 5:59, 69th Kevin Probyn(V45) 6:38, 129th John James(V65) 8:15 & 132nd Sandra Brown(LV55) 8:20. 167 ran.

Brown followed this with a second place in the Kingsway Parkrun in 17:40. Further back 74 year old Les Davis set a new course V70 record in 22:40. He already holds the Lydney and Gloucester North Parkrun over 70 records. His grandson Alex Rawlings(JM11-15) was third in 17:53, a new PB and age group course record.
Other Severn placings: 21st Andy Brown(V55) 20:37, 53rd Kevin Probyn(V45) 23:26, 65th Emma Rawlings(LV40) 24:08, 105th John James(V65) 27:05, 114th Sandra Brown(LV55) 27:37 & 124th Rob Cytlau(V65) 28:20. 277 ran.
Rich Brown travelled to the north east to take part in the Great North Run. He ran a course PB in a time of 1:27:38 placing 573rd of the 57,000 finishers. The day before he came 6th in the Sunderland Parkrun in 18:19. 194 ran.
