Severn Athletic Club captain James Rose had a tough battle to maintain his club road race supremacy in the last race of the Hereford 5K series.
Winter recruit Archie Fox(27) has been steadily improving since starting running, establishing himself as a regular team scorer in the cross-country season. His summer target is a sub 17 minute “5K”. At Hereford he started fast surprising Rose who was well behind Fox’s group.
“I could see Archie’s group of five well ahead, I had to make a big finishing effort to pass them”. Fox was caught on the line with Rose 24th in 17:17 & Fox 25th, in a personal best time of 17:18.
