Severn Athletic Club’s Dan Nurse(V40) made the top hundred of a major marathon for the first time when 84th of the 1352 runners in the Milton Keynes event. He was disappointed to miss his personal best by 4 minutes 50 seconds recording 3:05:59, the course having many turns and under-passes upsetting the runners rhythm. Nurse is aiming for a sub 3 hour performance in October’s Boston Marathon.

Other Severn AC results: 287 Jim Smith(V40) 3:33:34 & 835 Sam Watts(LV40) 4:26:41 (PB).

Club captain James Rose broke the 17 minute barrier in the second race of the Hereford 5K series, his previous sub 17 minute was before Covid lock down.
