
Severn Athletic Club’s captain James Rose won his local race the Dymock Half Marathon in 1 hour 18 mins 49 seconds for the eighth time. He had to work hard for victory after RAF runner Matthew Allen set off fast outpacing the field. Beginning to weaken at 11 miles, Rose set off in pursuit. Only in the final 500 Metres did he catch Allen with Rose’s superior finishing speed prevailing winning by 10 secs.
