Tony Christmas from Stroud and District Athletic Club has died aged 90. Tony was typical of those attracted into running in the 1980’s London Marathon boom.. He compiled an impressive record in veterans age groups and became the prominent local over 80 runner when he reached that age group. He ran into his late eighties and marshalled at many events. He often presented the prizes at Severn Athletic Club’s Christmas road races as the real Father Christmas.

Tony will be sadly missed and our sincere condolences go to Lee and his family.
