Severn Athletic Club captain James Rose hopes he has at last managed to make the county cross-country team for March’s inter-county championships after many seasons of near misses. He was 15th in the senior mens 9.9K county championships at Rencombe College, which ensures him an entry in the county list from which selection will be made. He was 4th over 40 to finish in 38:37.

Dave Clarke(V45) was 31st in 41:46, Andy Bright 32nd in 41:46 and club vice captain Dave Howells(2/V50) 41st in 42:51. The veterans team were 4th in the over 40 category..

In her third cross-country race since joining the club Katie Davenport achieved a top twenty placing in the senior ladies 6.6K race finishing 18th in 30:25 with Sandra Brown(V60) 67th in 45:02.

In the mens U17/20 6.6K race Alex Rawlings was 3rd in 24:04.
