Severn Athletic Club’s promising new recruit, 16 year old Alex Rawlings completed a hat trick of victories in 10 days. Following his event record win in the Pilot Inn 5K Road Race & County under 17 track mile victory, he won the mile at the Gloucester Athletic Club Open Track meeting in 4:45:8. Making up 20 metres in the last 300, he overhauled Peter Woodward(Forest Of Dean AC) to take the victory.

At the Upton Bishop Big Dipper 10K, a testing race with 90% either running up or down hill, club team captain James Rose(2/V40) equalled his 2018 podium position, finishing 3rd in 39:26. Race winner Sam Matchette(U/A) in 35:35.

At the Worcester Half Marathon, Chris Brown secured a top ten placing when finishing 9th in 1:19:40. The race won by Omar Ahmed(Birchfield Harriers) in 1:03:28, 1060 ran. Club mate Adrian England(V40) came 45th in a personal best time of 38:27 in the 10K. Race winner Simon Birch(Hinckley RC) in 32:03, 2334 ran.
