Following their team victory in the Forest Of Dean Half Marathon, Severn Athletic Club’s top duo of distance runners from the winter season have continued their form into the summer road race season.

Track: Stourport Spring Open: Alex Rawlings(1/U17) 1200 metes 3:31.7 & (1/U17) 600 metres 1:31:9. (Competing in his first track races since coming under the wing of club coach Rob Cytlau).
Angels 10K: 3rd James Rose(V40) 36:25, 13th Dave Howells(V50) 40:01, 18th Andy Monro(V45) 41:17, 20th Richard Chapman-Brown(V40) 41:42, 43rd Andy Brown(V60) 46:06, 53rd Kevin Probyn(V50) 48:14 & 69th Greg Leyshon(V65) 50:23. 130 ran.
At the Manchester Marathon 3 Severn Athletes travelled up north to compete at the 26.2 mile distance. 1st home for the club and finishing with a new PB was Imran Hassanjee in 741st place(V40) 3:01: 34, next in was David Stephens 3:44: 38(PB) & 4351 Pratik Pradhan(V40) 3:44:38. 13,095 ran.

The City’s oldest road race “The Tredworth 4.3 Mile” will be held for the 72nd time at the Pilot Inn, Hardwicke on Monday April 22nd at 11:30. Registration from 10:30am. Open to members of the following running clubs… Angels RC, Gloucester AC, Hucclecote Harriers, Kingsway Runners, Severn AC & Tuffley Trotters or city residents who are not members of any club.
