Severn AC weekly news – 18/11

Severn Athletic Club’s Chris Brown put the disappointment of his cross country run the previous Saturday in the Birmingham League Division 3 race behind him. In the 3rd race of the Weston Prom 5 Mile series, he ran 27:58 to finish in 12th place. The highly competitive race won by Kurt Taylor(Bristol & West AC) in 26:00. Dad Andy was 91st and 3/V60 in 33:51 in a field of 343 runners.

In the weekend Parkruns, Severn Athletic Club runners produced a series of personal,course PB’s and age group firsts.

Crystal Palace: 11th Richard Chapman-Brown(3/V40) 19:38. 334 ran.

Gloucester City: 2nd Chris Brown 18:08, 15th Andy Brown(1/V60) 21:22 & 94th Sandra Brown(4/LV55) 30:29. 161 ran.

Gloucester North: 7th Dave Howells(1/V50) 20:11.(course PB). 107 ran.

Kingsway: 7th Alex Jenkins 20:20(course PB), 8th Victor Marques(1/V45) 20:21, 42nd Greg Leyshon(1/V65) 23:42, 73rd Kevin Probyn(V50) 25:42, 87th George Scully(2/V65) 26:36 & 257th John James(V65) 46:08. 258 ran.

Pomphrey Hill: 4th Gary Hope(1/V50) 18:03(course PB) & 12th Neil Taylor(2/V45) 20:38(course PB). 257 ran.

Stonehouse: 2nd Dave Clarke(1/V45) 19:57. 68 ran.
