
Severn AC returned to winter competition in the Birmingham Cross Country League, with the 1st fixture for Division 3 taking place at Coundon Park, Coventry.
12 athletes competed in the fixture, with 4 athletes making their debut in the league.
The A Team finished 4th out of a total of 21 teams. 1st home was James Rose in 8th place – 33:18, he was followed by returning athlete Gary Hope who finished 15th in a time of 34:34, he was closely followed by
Chris Brown who finished 19th in 34:39, next up was Alex Hope in 27th place in a time of 35:07, debutant Will Richmond finished in 36th place in 35:25 and finally finishing the 1st team was Dave Lander in 60th place in a time of 36:31.
The B Team finished 5th out of 11. 1st home for them was Ian Overthrow who finished in 71st place with a time of 37:01, he was closely followed up by debutant Dave Clarke who finished in 75th place – 37:02, next up were 2 other athletes making their debut Adrian England in 108th place 38:16 and in 109th Dave Howells 38:18, in 127th place was Alex Jenkins 39:18 and finally in 184th was Steve Hale in 41:57. 280 ran.
At the Last Vegas 10k, a race held on the famous strip, Les Davis finished 1st v75 in a time of 47:22, he was 90th place overall.
