Severn Athletic Club enjoyed a successful day at the County 4x5km Road Relay Championships. The 1st team finished 5th overall but 2nd in the county championships senior race, finishing behind behind Cheltenham Harriers, their runners recording : Chris Brown 17:43, Will Richmond 18:28, Adrian England 19:54 & Ian Overthrow(V50) 19:26.
They also came 1st in the County Championship Vet 40 division. All other athletes individual times: Andy Brown(V60) 21:05, Greg Leyshon(V65) 23:40, Neil Taylor(V45) 21:49. Victor Marques(V45) 21:22, Dave Clarke(V45) 20:32, Alex Jenkins 21:57 & Dave Howells(V50) 20:11.
At the Staverton Meteor Mile race, Alex Rawlings (U17) made his debut at the distance finishing in 6th place with a time of 4:57, he was the followed by his team mates in 8th place Chris Brown 5:00, 42nd Andy Brown(V60) 6:06, 92nd Les Davis(V75) 7:05, 152nd Sandra Brown(LV55) 8:38 & 175th Dave Blackburn(V75) 9:15. 208 ran.
Severn Bridge 10K: 4th Alex Rawlings(U17) 37:45. 808 ran.
County 10,000 Championship(track) held at the Prince of Wales stadium in Cheltenham, Greg Leyshon finished in 48:08 which is a club over 65 best time. 20 ran.
