Severn Athletic Club’s Chris Brown improved his course PB by seven seconds at the Bitton 5k. Having won the first race, he ran 16:47 for 4th place in the third of the four race series. Dad Andy(1st V60) was 31st in 20:15 and mum Sandra(1st LV55) was 84th in 30:19. 90 ran.

Severn Athletic Club’s elder statesman have been reaping a harvest of age group firsts in open races and Parkruns. 68 year old Greg Leyshon, a 53 minute 10 miler in his prime has been first over 65 in eleven races & Parkruns since June 1st. 75 year old Les Davis is a class apart in his age group as he continues to set personal, club and course bests on a regular frequency. Andy Brown has won the over 60 age group in nine open races since April.
