James Rose of Severn Athletic Club is getting back to his top form. After his sixth Dymock Half Marathon victory he had a battle royal with former club mate Mark James(Cheltenham Harriers) in the Hereford 5K. James prevailed by two seconds at the end with Rose twelfth in 16:48, his first time inside 17 minutes this year.
New recruit Victor Marques emphasised becoming a regular team scorer placing 14th(2nd V45) in 48:19 in the demanding 7.2 mile Stoud beer race at Minchinhampton. Club mate Barry Thomas(V45) was 31st in 54:37. 62 ran.
