Chris Brown of Severn Athletic Club was again the best of the county runners in Somerset’s premier race series. In the Weston Prom 5 mile he started fast and at half way was in second place. His challenge to winner Chris Macmillan(Weston AC) who ran 26:37 faded and in to a strong headwind over the final two miles Brown was passed by two Clevedon AC runners to place fourth in 27:57.
In his second open race since returning to racing Dave Lander(V50) was contented with his 25th position in 30:40. Andy Brown(V55) was 75th in 33:44. 288 ran.

At the Gloucester 20 Mile road race on Sunday, Neil Taylor(V45) continued his training for this years London Marathon finishing 123rd in a time of 2:35:37. Also competing were two of the Club’s newest members for the new season, Pratik Pradhan(V40) finishing 244th in 2:52:07 & Victor Marques(V45) in 299th place with a time of 3:00:13. 521 ran
