Severn Athletic Clubs leading distance runner of the moment Chris Brown had a race long battle with James Wilkinson(Cheltenham Harriers) in the Gloucester North Parkrun 5K. Wilkinson snatched the verdict but both were given the same time of 18:27.
In third was Alex Rawlings(JM11-15) in 19:03 & 18th Sam Rawlings(JM11-15) 22:42, the grandsons of supervet Les Davis(V70). Les recorded a course over 70 record of 23:42 in 27th place.
Other Severn finishers: 28th: Andy Brown(V55) 23:44, 37th Neil Taylor(V45) 24:24, 55th Emma Rawlings(VW40) 25:49 & 82nd Sandra Brown(VW55) 28:44.155 ran.
South Norwood Parkrun: 6th Rich Brown 19:02. 111 ran.
Kingsway Parkrun: 43rd Greg Leyshon(V65) 23:27, 57th Phil Reece(V50) 24:04 & 107th John James(V65) 27:30. 249 ran.
THIS WEEK’s Club News
The rearranged 69th Annual Tredworth 4.3 Mile Road Race will take place on Tuesday September 5th at 7 pm, Race HQ Pilot Inn Hardwicke. Defending champion is James Head(Gloucester AC). Runners must be city residents or a member of a city running club. Registrations on day.
