Severn Athletic Club captain James Rose(V40), in training for an autumn marathon, was pleased with his victory in his club’s last socially distanced time trial of lockdown. Over a new configuration of the Elmore loop, he set a course record of 59 minutes 22 seconds. “That’s better than my county 10 Mile championship run over a tougher course”.
Second was club secretary Chris Brown(V40) in 61:48. Third, new member Matt Hitchings(V40) ran 65:03. Fourth, teenager Nathan Overthrow, son of successful Severn distance runner Ian, caught the eye running 66:35.
