Local racing continued to return to the county on Monday with Stroud AC holding the annual Frampton on Severn 10k.

In the ladies division Meg Partridge achieved a new personal best in the distance by beating her previous best time set at Bourton 10k in 2020 by 57 seconds with a time in 51:03 and finished in 168th place. Tracey Brenton also finished 2nd LV45 with a time in 45:23 and overall in 85th place.

In the men’s club athletes James Rose(V40) and Chris Brown(V40) produced good performances as they resumed their race battles to be first club man home. Rose prevailed, finishing 7th in 36:04 with Brown 9th in 36:37. Two more top twenty placings came with a promising debut from James Smith(V40) 13th in 37:44 (PB) and Dave Clarke(V50) 15th in 38:03 (PB).

Other Severn placings: 32nd Adrian England(V40) 39:56,50th Jon Scoffield 41:55, 86th Kevin Probyn(V50) 45:41, 125th Greg Leyshon(V70) 48:25, 129th Darren Ridgley(V40) 48:43, 149th Adrian Roffey(V40) 49:45, 376th Steve Barnes 1:12:19 (V65). 379 ran.
