Severn Athletic Club had another satisfactory year of growth & success in 2019.
In the Birmingham Cross-Country League the mens team just missed out on promotion and in the Gloucestershire Cross-Country League the ladies team managed to compete in all four races for the first time since 2008.
Standout individual performer Alex Rawlings(JM17), winning silver in the Midland Cross-Country Championships, a bronze in the South West Schools Cross-Country Championships and leading the Gloucestershire county team home in the National Inter Counties Cross-Country Championships.
Members increasing participation in road races and Parkruns, continuing to gain age group and personal bests.
With a healthy financial balance and membership numbers increasing, the club plan to contine it’s growth in 2020.
The club created a race commitee in 2019 organising successful summer 5K races at the Pllot Inn and the best 2020 coss-country fixture in the Birmingham Cross-Country League Division 3 at Plock Court.
The commitee undertake to serve the club and ensure the best possible service to all its members.
