In The Keith Ward Memorial Indoor Meeting, incorporating the 2018 Norfolk County Indoor Championships at The Barn, Lynnsport, Kings Lynn, Severn’s leading sprinter Akinola Kehn-Alafun dead heated in the final of the 60 metres in a time of 8.2 seconds. He had qualified for the final with a time of 9.0 seconds in the semi-final.

After a silver medal win in the Gloucestershire 2017 Road Race series in the age group 65-69 Severn Athletic Club’s Greg Leyshon(68) got his challenge for gold in the 2018 series off to a winning start. He finished 1st in the over 65 age group in the Linda Franks 5 Mile placing 133rd of the 229 runners in 39:17. Club mate behind was John James(7th V65) 187th in 46:36.

Three Severn AC members travelled to a blustery Weston Prom 5 where Chris Brown placed 9th in 27:56. Steve Hale(V40) was 75th in 32:54 & Andy Brown(V55) was 78th in 32:59. 362 ran.

Chris Brown followed up with a PB and led home city runners at the Staverton 10 Mile Road Race when placing 8th in 58:40. Kevin Probyn(V50) was 151st in 1:38:54 & John James(V65) was 168th 1:44:48. 176 ran.

Kingsway: 28th Andy Brown(V55) 22:14. 268 ran.

Eastville: 36th Neil Taylor(V45) 20:51. 70 ran.

Kingsway: 3rd Dave Lander(V50) 19:34, 10th Andy Brown(V55) 21:01 & 193rd Sandra Brown(LV55) 31:58. 270 ran.

South Norwood: 2nd Rich Brown 19:34. 93 ran.
