The Cranham Boundary Chase will start at 2.30pm. Entry to the Cranham Feast will be from 1pm for both the Adults and Children’s races.
Numbers – Collect on the day.
All numbers will be collected from the registration desk on the day at Cranham Cricket Club from 1.30pm. The race will be chip timed, please could we ask for your support in ensuring all tags are returned to the buckets at the end of the race.
Parking
The race is held in conjunction with the Cranham Feast and there will be free parking available on the fields near the Cricket Club. Please follow the signposts to ensure you park in the right location.
Car Parking will be available from 1pm. Please avoid parking along the road leading to the Cricket Club.
Your vehicle is left at your own risk.
On arrival please go to registration to pick up your number. This will be signposted and is near the car parking
The Route
The race will start on the road outside of Cranham Cricket Club, turning right at the junction and gradually climbing up for approximately 2km where runners will take a left onto the B4070.
Runners are requested to run SINGLE FILE along the lefthand side for this stretch. Please avoid overtaking whilst on this section of the course.
After approximately 1k, runners will take a sharp left turn (a marshall will be on this turn) and follow the country road for approximately 4km before taking another left turn taking runners back towards Cranham Village. From here, there is the final climb to navigate before turning back onto the top road leading to the finish on the Cricket Club fields.
The route can be described as very undulating at best and will be run on open roads
Water Stations
There will not be a water station on the course, unless there are adversely hot conditions in which case there will be a water station approximately at the midpoint of the route.
Water will be available to all runners at the finish
First Aid
We have qualified First Aiders on the course. If you have a difficulty please talk to a Marshal who will summon assistance.
Headphones
The wearing of headphones is not permitted for health and safety reasons. Those wearing them will be disqualified.
Prize Giving
There will be prizes for the first 3 male and first 3 female finishers. There will prices for the leading Male team (first 4 team finishers) and Female Team (first 3 team finishers) plus age category winner prizes up to O75 and Cranham Resident Winner. Prizes will be presented after 3:45pm.
Toilets
There will be toilets facilities available at the cricket club. There are no showering facilities available.
Childrens Fun Runs
The Children’s Fun Run will start at 1:45pm. There will be fun runs for the following age groups:
8 and under (1 lap)
12 and under (2 laps)
16 and under (3 laps)
Oldest group will be set off first but others to follow immediately afterwards.
Cranham Feast Activities
There will be a host of activities taking place throughout the afternoon and evening of race day as part of the Cranham Feast. Once your legs have recovered, there is plenty of activities, games, food and drink to enjoy throughout the day, so please feel free to stay and support the event.
